Kitchen Remodeling in Brickell
The enclosed-kitchen era ends here.
Most Brickell towers built before the mid-nineties came with the kitchen walled off in its own little room, back when a bay view apparently was not something a cook needed. Owners at The Palace, Villa Regina, Bristol Tower, and across Brickell Key have been correcting that ever since: removing the enclosure, adding an island, and letting the kitchen join the living space and the skyline. In newer buildings like Brickell Flatiron and the Rise and Reach towers at Brickell City Centre, the work shifts to upgrading developer-spec cabinetry and stone into something chosen rather than issued.
Kitchen work in Brickell means permits from the City of Miami Building Department for the electrical, plumbing, and wall changes, plus your association's approval before a hammer swings. Tower rules shape the design more than most owners expect: ventilation is usually recirculating or tied to existing building exhaust, gas is rare above the ground floor so induction rules the range, and relocating a sink is governed by where the building's risers actually run. None of this kills a great kitchen. It just means the layout should be designed by people who have read your building's rules first.
Our kitchens are measured twice, once for the drawings and again after demolition, because a forty-year-old slab is never as flat as the plans claim. Cabinetry is built to those field numbers, stone is templated on site, and slabs are chosen at the yard partly for beauty and partly for whether they fit the freight elevator. PGX runs one written scope, one schedule, and daily supervision from demo to final inspection, with lobby and corridor protection your neighbors will appreciate. Twenty-plus years in South Florida taught us that logistics are half of luxury.

What's included
Kitchen scope, tower edition.
From full open-plan conversions to cabinetry-and-counters upgrades, here is what kitchen work looks like when PGX builds it in Brickell.
Open-plan conversions
Removing the kitchen enclosure, with engineering and headers where a wall carries load, so the cook finally gets the bay view too.
Cabinetry measured twice
Built to post-demolition field measurements, with panel-ready appliances and interiors organized for how you actually cook, not how a spec sheet imagined.
Stone sized for the elevator
Slabs selected at the yard, templated in place, and cut with elevator dimensions in mind, because a broken slab teaches an expensive lesson.
Appliances and ventilation
Induction ranges, integrated refrigeration, and ventilation designed around your building's exhaust reality, permitted and inspected rather than improvised.
Lighting under concrete
Layered LED lighting built into soffits and shallow ceiling details, since a tower's concrete slab does not politely accept recessed cans.
